At ALE, our entire team is passionate about the special craft needed to create the perfect experience - whether it's celebrating a major life milestone with loved ones, or a casual gathering of friends. As a locally owned events centre and public eatery, ALE strives to provide culinary and service excellence to the surrounding community. Our hope is to play a small part in lifelong memories. Our food and beverage offerings are enhanced by gorgeous landscape and timeless interior decor. ALE is Ottawa’s premier special events venue & dining destination.

Jason's food steals the show for any ALE dining experience. He brings innovation and creativity to all of his culinary creations, along with elegant plating and attention to detail. Capable of cooking any style of food, Jason often prepares custom menus for special events. With over 30 years of experience in restaurants, Jason is the backbone of ALE.

Sarah St. Michael

Sarah leads ALE's Front of House operations, overseeing both daily dining and special events. With over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, along with a strong background in language and teaching, Sarah is always striving for the perfect dining experience.

Vanessa Booth

Vanessa leads ALE's service team as Assistant Manager. With a firm grasp on daily dining operations and special event logistics, ALE is happy to have Vanessa and her over 15 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.

Benjamin O'Neil

Whether it's creating web content or fantastic cocktails, Ben has it covered. Ben has been a part of the ALE team since opening in April 2016. With 8 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, Ben's passion for service excellence makes him a valuable asset to the team.

Joanne Lauzon

Part-Time Event Administrator

Joanne is the queen behind the scenes! She receives incoming event inquiries, tracks details and confirms final bits of information to ensure an event's success. Joanne's sunny disposition and creative skills give her the edge when it comes to event bookings.
