In accordance with the Government of Ontario, ALE will be offering curb-side pick-up exclusively for the following 28 days in Operation or until such time as provincial restrictions are lifted.

All event consultations and existing client meetings will take place via telephone or Zoom call. Please consult your assigned coordinator for further information.

ALE's hours of operation will not be effected by the shutdown.

December 26th , 2020 Press Release | COVID-19 Update - Ontario Grey Zone Shutdown

As per the Government of Ontario's announcement, ALE, along with every Ottawa restaurant has reverted to Phase 2 occupancy. Our patio is open & COVID measures continue to be in place.

Takeout is available as well as Delivery on Uber Eats & Skip the Dishes.

Distance socially, support locally! Patio & Dine-In services have resumed with reduced capacity. Reservations are highly recommended, walk-ins welcome. Hot Takeout (Curb-Side pickup) is available during operational hours and can be ordered online here or by calling us at (613) 831.2442. Grocery orders are available for curb-side pickup or delivery on Sundays. The following are our new protocols to support health & safety, as recommended by health officials;

Sanitized plastic menus and virtual menus will be utilized

Social distance of 2 metres between tables & same-household dining will be enforced

March 16th, 2020 Press Release | COVID-19 Update - Private Event & Public Dining Services Temporarily Suspended
Due to the increasing severity of Coronavirus / COVID 19, along with measures and advice being provided by all levels of government, ALE will not be open for private events or public Sunday dining at this time. The health and safety of our guests and staff is of the utmost importance.
We will begin a new take home meal service in the coming days so our diners can enjoy ALE food in the safety of their own homes. More details about this will be released soon, both on our social media platforms and at aleottawa.ca.
All client meetings for future events will be done via telephone or will be postponed for the foreseeable future.
ALE will update this policy as new infromation from Ottawa Public Health and the government(s) presents itself. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding at this time.

March 13th, 2020 Press Release | COVID-19 Action Plan
As part of our efforts to assist with the control of Coronavirus i.e. COVID 19, ALE employees will continue to exceed the expectations of Ottawa Public Health by practicing proper sanitizing procedures. These actions include frequent and proper handwashing, as well as frequent sanitization of all surfaces and items, especially in high traffic areas.
ALE employees have been asked to report any signs or symptoms of illness, especially those symptoms that may be commonly associated with Coronavirus. We encourage our guests to monitor their own health and/or symptoms and react in accordance to guidelines provided by Ottawa Public Health.
